Wedding proposal at the Clock Tower in the Old Port of Montreal
The Quai de l’horloge, the perfect place for a wedding proposal in the Old Port of Montreal
Last November, I had the opportunity to photograph a marriage proposal at one of my favorite spots in the Old Port of Montreal, the Quai de l’horloge.
Not only does the location have a historic cachet that has left its mark on the Old Port, but the Quai also offers one of the best views of the city of Montreal’s most beautiful tourist attractions: the St. Lawrence River, the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, downtown and St. Helen’s Island.
So when Daniel emailed me a few days before his proposal and said he was looking for a place near the waterfront, I immediately jumped at the chance to tell him about the Quai de l’Horloge.
Daniel was visiting Montreal with his girlfriend, Brianna, and wanted to mark their time in the city with a proposal.
Once it was officially booked on my calendar, I quickly helped him plan the logistics of his proposal, finding the location, explaining how to get there with Brianna on the day off without her suspecting anything, guiding him to the best direction to propose so I could get the best angle to document Brianna’s reaction, etc.
Here is the review Daniel left me after his proposal in the Old Port
I recently had the pleasure of working with Mirona on a surprise photo shoot for my proposal.
Daniel
I’m so lucky to have found her. She was extremely responsive and professional, truly going above and beyond my expectations. It’s not hard to tell that she really loves what she does and it shows in her work.
Not being from the city, I was unsure what to do and where to go, she gladly helped with all of that in great detail and got some really great shots.
I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Thanks Mirona!
