Mont Tremblant same-sex vow renewal elopement

Last month, I was honored to photograph Amber and Mary’s stunning same-sex vow renewal elopement in the Mont-Tremblant area of the Laurentians.

Originally, the girls had a quick, rushed wedding at City Hall in 2017 followed by a mini party at their house afterward, but never really had the opportunity of having professional photos to celebrate their union.

So on a rainy Saturday in August, we drove to the Mont-Tremblant area in the Laurentians to celebrate them once again, this time in a jaw-dropping mountain-top location.

Funny enough, Amber and Mary met on a dating app in New Brunswick and got engaged on top of a mountain. So when I suggested that they do their photo shoot at Tremblant on top of this beautiful mountain that offered a 360-degree view of the region’s lakes and mountains, they immediately loved my idea.

We met at the beginning of the hike and headed up the trail to the summit. When we arrived at the lookout, the girls were completely speechless, the place reminded them a lot of the mountain in New Brunswick where they had proposed to each other.

It was very windy at the top so we found a quiet spot for them to change into wedding dresses. They were both from Espace Blanc de Blancs in McMasterville, the boutique specializes in dresses for all occasions and all sizes. The girls then helped each other to tighten their dresses.

For the occasion, the girls had written their wedding vows in two vow notebooks from Deux Amoureux Invitations. Their stunning local flower bouquet was made by Pollen Florist in Montreal. The colors of the bouquet, the dresses, and the notebooks all worked so well together.

Despite the fact that it was the middle of August, it was particularly cold and windy that day so Mary and Amber kept warm with coats and blankets that I had brought with me.

They continued with a vow renewal ceremony. They had carefully written personalized vows for each other in the Deux Amoureux Invitations vow books.
